Introducing AbilityMatrix: Ádám Egyed, Junior Business Development Intern

It’s almost been half a year since I joined AbilityMatrix but I can still remember like it was yesterday how happy I was when I found the advertisement. Back then I had a passive semester at university because I wanted to have some relevant experience. I was looking for a job that could improve my researching and business related skills and can be done on my laptop. I am undoubtedly happy I could find a remote job that fits my requirements and lifestyle with a supportive and knowledgeable team around me. During this time I was also working in a big bar in Budapest to maintain a better lifestyle and be independent from my parents. Although it did not hand me a comprehensive list of business related skills, it helped me a lot with figuring out how much I can take and finding my limits.

About me

I was born in a southern city in Hungary, Baja in the year 1999. I went to a six-grade high school there, where I studied maths, history and I.T. in additional hours. I tried a lot of things during these years to find my passion and form an ambition based on that. As Jordan Peterson said: “You must determine where you are going in your life, because you cannot get there unless you move in that direction. Random wandering will not move you forward. It will instead disappoint and frustrate you and make you anxious and unhappy and hard to get along with (and then resentful, and then vengeful, and then worse).” Fortunately I’m on that road more or less right now. I am in my final year of Commerce and Marketing studies at Budapest Business School and I have just started beekeeping studies in order to have a business on my own that I can manage by myself. My further plans are to attend Marketing Masters Courses at Corvinus University and to keep working with AM on bigger projects.

My passion

In my free time I really like reading non-fiction books because I believe they are “cheat codes to life”, besides that I really like cooking and learning new recipes. As an adventurous person I’m fond of exploring new places and traveling around the world. When I’m doing a monotonous project or I’m on public transport I enjoy listening to podcasts and interviews of successful people. When I only have a shorter period of spare time I like to read articles or company announcements.
